Latest News Archive: April-June 2005 Something WICKED in LA! 6/29/05: It looks like Melissa will be pulling Swing duty again in Wicked, only this time with the touring cast in Los Angeles! Just like her stint last month in NY, she doesn't know for sure if or when she'll be going on, but she will be there for at least 2/3 of the show which means that you'll see her at the stagedoor before the performances! She's set to swing from July 12-31 so if you have tickets, stop by and say hello before the show and who knows, you just might get the special treat of Melissa in your Ensemble! Up, up, down, down, left, right, left, right, a, b, start. 6/29/05: You guessed it--video game news! Melissa's told us that she just wrapped up recording two new video games featuring some of our favorite Melissa characters! Coming at you with a release slated for mid-October is Cowboy Bebop for PlayStation2 and also set for a mid-October release is the Zatch Bell! for PS2 and GameCube. Unless anything changes (which it often does) both are due out October 11, 2005. If the kittens find out about any changes, we'll let you know! Always keep checking latest news for more... stuff. Happy Belated Birthday, Stephen Sondheim! 6/29/05: Big news in LA! Melissa will be performing among some huge names at the Stephen Sondheim 75th Celebration! She'll be sharing the stage with Angela Lansbury, Jason Alexander, Josh Groban, Bernadette Peters, and many, many more! (Just to make sure there's no confusion: she's not headlining this one, but she is in the company.) And, having performed as Johanna in Sweeney Todd and Maria in West Side Story in the past, I'm sure she's up to the task! The concert is July 8th at 8:00 p.m. at the Hollywood Bowl in Hollywood, CA! For more info check out The Hollywood Bowl's website there are still some tickets available! WICKED change of plans: 5/10/05: Change in new from the WICKED front!!! This is VERY important if you were planning on going to see Melissa performing in Wicked!! Melissa was originally scheduled to be covering Kathy Deitch next week in Wicked BUT due to a change in scheduling, Melissa is now scheduled as a swing for BOTH WEEKS. She's only on emergency standby for those weeks if any of the girls go out for any reason. She is not guaranteed to go on any night. You may or may not still see her at the stagedoor so please, if you were planning on going, go and have FUN and experience good, live theatre and support it! Something Wicked This Way Comes!: 5/10/05: Exciting and WICKED news for the rest of this month and the beginning of June! Melissa will be returning to Wicked for a brief engagement covering two of the current cast members who are going on their scheduled Vacations! You'll be guaranteed to see Melissa if you're going from May 24-29th when she will be covering Kathy Deitch. The second week, May 31-June 5th, Melissa will be temporarily replacing Adinah Alexander. Adinah is a swing and doesn't perform every day--just when she's needed if someone's sick, so Melissa will only be on call those days you will not be guaranteed that you'll see Melissa May 31 - June 5. Hear Ye, Hear Ye: Audio from Anime Boston!: 5/7/05: The kittens have put up a SPECIAL EXCLUSIVE treat from Anime Boston for those of you who missed it or were there and want to relive the fun... digitally recorded audio from Melissa's Panel! The quality is not great, but hopefully we'll be getting it transcribed soon! Woot! If anyone is interested in helping us transcribe it, please let us know! Anime Boston Picture Search!: 5/5/05: Well, Anime Boston has come and gone, but hopefully EVERYONE had a really rad time! I know I did. That’s right, I, Jax, spent the weekend with Melissa and Joel and got to experience Melissa's first anime Convention with her and took TONS of pictures. Zatch Bell Date: 4/28/05: Thanks to the crew at the Zatch Bell TV Tome we've found out that Tia's first episode (and thus Melissa's first) will air on June 11th at 9:30.
