Anything Goes 6/18/06: Don't forget, everyone in SoCal, the Musical Theatre West production of ANYTHING GOES featuring Melissa as Hope Harcourt will be setting sail on Saturday, July 8th! Get your tickets now! More Anime! 6/18/06: Melissa let us know during the chat this week that she's doing some more anime work on the new (to us!) series "Noein" as the lead character Haruka! No official news on it yet, as far as release dates or if it will be on TV or anything, but word is right now that once it's done, they'll start streaming it on Animevillage.com, so we'll be sure to keep it up to date. Chat Changes! 6/18/06: Melissa's always crazy schedule is changing again, leading to another chat hiatus! Sad, yes, but necessary! Melissa will be rejoining us on Tuesdays (unless otherwise noted) starting July 11th once rehearsals for Anything Goes let up. Center Stage 5/18/06: Our little super STAR, Miss Melissa, is going to be very busy this summer with theatrical engagements! This June, Li'l Miss Busy will be in the Musical Theatre Guild production of "The Roar of the Greasepaint, The Smell of the Crowd," a musical theatre comedy from the '60s, where she'll be playing one of the six Urchins, a sort of Greek Chorus for the show (6/12 at the Alex Theatre in Glendale, 6/18 at the Scherr Forum in Thousand Oaks.) Then in July, Mel will be starring as Hope Harcourt in Musical Theatre West's production of Cole Porter's "Anything Goes" (7/8-7/23 at the Carpenter Center, Long Beach) so if you're in the Southern California area, go check Mel out in these two FABULOUS shows! News from Down in Dogpatch, USA! 4/28/06: A review was written in the LA Times about Li'l Abner, praising it left and right, and there's also an article here from the Burbank Leader with a brief interview with the two stars, MELISSA FAHN and Damon Kirsche! Enjoy and don't forget to head on down to Dogpatch, y'all! Tuesday's With Mel 4/11/06: As Melissa's schedule changes, so does ours! Melissa's finishing up one show and starting another, so with her new Wednesday rehearsals, we're moving our chats back to TUESDAY nights, starting next week! However, her rehearsals start this week, so we're not going to be having a chat this week. So our next chat is going to be next Tuesday, 4/18, at 7pm pacific time, 10pm eastern time. See you there! The Karas 4/11/06: The New York Times has posted article about the new feature length Anime OAV, The Karas, being dubbed. On the cast list with big names like Matthew Lillard (Scream, Scooby Doo) and Piper Perabo (Coyote Ugly, Cheaper by the Dozen) is Melissa as the character Chizuru in this series about the battle between the good and evil protectors of future Tokyo, the Karas! Sounds crazy! The series will be released in two volumes on April 25 (Vol 1) and September 26 (Vol 2) so check it out!. Eureka 7 on DVD and Adult Swim 4/6/06: Melissa just let us know that she will be playing Ray on the newly licensed Eureka 7, which will be distributed by Bandai. Ray is a tough LFO pilot who works on a team with her husband, Charles, to recover Eureka and her ship, the Nirvash, the first LFO ever made. Bandai will stream the first episode for a week starting April 16th (Ray and Charles don't appear until the middle of the series, though) on their website, AnimeVillage.com according to a press release on Anime News Network. The first Eureka 7 DVD will be released on April 25, 2006 and will begin airing on Adult Swim April 15, 2005. (Plot info thanks to Wikipedia.) MySpace! 4/6/06: Back in February, Kitten Kimmie set up a MySpace Music page for Melissa! On it, you can preview some of Melissa's songs and network with some of Melissa's other fans! Check it out here! Daisy Mae! 4/6/06: Melissa just let us know that she was cast in the role of Daisy Mae for the upcoming Musical Theatre Guild production of Lil' Abner! The production will go on April 24th at the Alex Theatre in Glendale and April 30th at the Scherr Forum in Thousand Oaks and May 8th at the Carpenter Center in Long Beach.
